Before I go back to my usual blogging schedule, here’s something you should all sign.
This is a petition for allowing people with a service dog into public places in the Netherlands. You see, sometimes not all service dogs are allowed into public areas, because people seem to think only blind people really need the help of a dog.
But of course this is not the case. My best friend’s mother suffers from bad epileptic episodes and ALS. She has a lovely service dog called Banios, and without Banios she would get through the day. Not only is he her service dog, he’s her best friend and greatest companion.
Now, Helma [that’s her name] has made this petition to show our government that people need their service dogs, everywhere they go. She’s not only going to hand over this big list with signatures, but she is also going to walk, get this 250 kilometres from Cuijk where she lives to the house of Parliament in Den Haag! She’s going to walk there with Banios.
So please, help us out and sign the petition. Even though you’re not Dutch, this will help so many people. It’s just a small signature and email activation, and you’ll help out so many people.
